Briefly About the Cody Rescue Centre For Teen Mothers.

Cody Rescue Centre For Teen Mothers started in April 2021 due to many pregnant teenagers that we continuously met on the streets during night outreaches and day outreaches, many of these girls were brought to the city under the hope of getting jobs or be taken to schools, much of that they were to be used to do or work on wasn’t told to them and they came to the city with higher expectations of jobs and getting enrolled into schools only to wake up to the reality of the actual work program that they were brought for. Many street girls have found themselves in the worst of circumstances with nowhere to run and without any thing to do rather than obeying what their masters ask of them to do. This is where many girls found themselves in trouble as they were unaware of what they were to be used to do thus the girls ended up in the worst of places that no one would wish for his or their children.

Because we couldn’t combine pregnant teens and other transforming street girls at the girls shelter as the state doesn’t permit to mix girls facing different challenges especially pregnant teens with un-pregnant girls. The pregnant street girls have a much more diverse life which is no longer of one person but also the child who we have to start preparing for and make plans so as to assist themselves individually. We had to create a place special to handle cases of pregnant youth/teens so as to deeply be able to help them adequately. The Centre was established to offer comprehensive services to pregnant teens, young mothers and their children facing enormous obstacles such as poverty and social isolation with many programs available to provide help. We established this Centre to offer protection and safety measures for the teen mothers as many of them come from dangerous areas and other were rescued from dirty forced illegal activities that often are set up to mislead them.
